Teacher Trainings
In 2013 UN study, 75% of youth 11-16 concerned about how Climate Change would impact them. 66% worried about families in developing countries. 88% knew something about Climate Change. 33% preteens fear an apocalypse in their life time.
Teachers learn the skills of the Community Resilience Model from the Trauma Resource Institute.- Webinars and Workshops are offered for teachers, parents and students in skills to reduce the reactions to ongoing stress and traumatic experiences so rampant today.

How do we teach about the realities of the crises facing our world and still inspire students to connect with and protect the amazing living systems of Earth? I design and facilitate 1-3 day Training Programs that integrate arts, theater, deep ecology, and the Work That Reconnects. Teachers will gain personal resourcing tools and tools needed to engage students in conversations about their fears for the future as well as inspire their passion for life. These experiential workshops help teachers rediscover their interconnection to the web of life while honoring the emotions that arise when bravely facing the many crises on our planet. We will find new ways of seeing our crises as opportunities and inspiring our students to find their role in the great turning toward a sustainable, abundant, vibrant and peaceful world. |

What we can create together:
I design educational programs for students with a focus on experiential learning that connects students to the natural world while exploring how to face the many environmental and social crises of our time with out losing heart. We must understand our interconnections to the living systems of the earth in order to create a sustainable and healthy future for ourselves and our fellow species.

1976-1983 - Youth Theater Unlimited and the Performance Workshop
Designed and delivered accredited teacher training programs in the use of arts in the classroom particularly drama.
Trained teachers, artists, writers and actors on using arts in education
1998-2013 - Marin Agricultural Institute for Teachers
Designed and delivered accredited teacher training program in conjunction with the Marin County Office of Education, The Farm Bureau, Marin Agricultural Land Trust, University of California Cooperative Extension, and Marin Organic.
Over 150 teachers have completed the program, learned about the local food system, and how to integrate food and farms into their curriculum.
2002 -2013 - Farm Field Studies Program for K-12 students
Developed and directed the Farm Field Studes program.
This has brought thousands of students and families to farms for hands-on learning linked to California educational standards.
2015-2018 - Go Wild Consulting and SPAWN teacher trainings.
Worked with Environmental Education, Science, and Outdoor Education teachers on the use of the Work That Reconnects in the Classroom.
